Military grade technology is quite interesting, like modern night vision works by amplifying ambient light alot of times until the human eye can see whats in the dark. Though i have interest in making actual military grade night vision, the problem is that i dont have enough money (costs thousands of dollars) and technology to make it.
So, to feed my interests, i am making an active near-infrared night vision. It works by shining infrared light to the distance and a camera captures the reflected infrared light and feeds it directly into a screen. I also plan to develop this into something that comes as close as possible as real military grade night vision.
My first idea was to use an OV2640 camera module and manually remove the IR filter so that the camera could capture infrared light, then its sent to an RP2040 microcontroller to add HUD, and finally to a screen to display the output.
currently, i finished sketching the casing design, and finished making the schematic and PCB design.
